The Mix Events Platform is a fully-featured, enterprise-level Content Management System built from the ground up and is the culmination of 3+ years of research and development.

As the sole back-end developer, this is the largest project I have developed, and covers a vast array of features and functionality including many you'd come to expect in an enterprise-level CMS.

The system was primarily-built to facilitate a booking system, but over time became more expansive to compete with other content management systems on the market.

The platform comes with an advanced email messaging system that allows the sending of automated messages as well as the creation of custom messages based on specific criteria. All messages can be fully-edited and customised with a templating system to insert related user-data and other site-related data.

The platform also features a unique content theming system allowing frontend developers and designers to work seamlessly with backend developers. It features a shortcode-based system to insert blocks of code or html, the ability to allow core view pages to be replaced without modifying them, and an internal web API to easily search for and retrieve site data with a standardised interface.

Functionality, security, performance and user-friendliness are at the core of this project, and particular time was spent to ensure The Mix Events Platform went above and beyond in these particular areas.
